The Office of the District Attorney is comprised of 36 prosecutors, investigators, and administrative staff.  In a typical year we receive thousands of criminal complaints.  Our office is organized for vertical prosecution, which means that the prosecutor assigned to a case will prosecute that case from beginning (an indictment or bill of information) to end (conviction and sentencing).
